Introducing Reports & Trends

A new section on Ekko showing what founders are actually building, every quarter — pulled straight from validation data, not surveys.

We've added a Reports & Trends section to Ekko.

Every quarter, we publish a Venture Benchmark: a breakdown of every startup idea validated through the platform that quarter — what people are building, where they stall, and what actually predicts a real signup versus a dead landing page.

Why we're publishing this

Most "state of startups" content is survey-based. Someone fills out a form describing what they think they're doing. Ekko doesn't have that problem — every idea that comes through the platform generates real behavioral data: a landing page goes live, a waitlist either fills up or it doesn't, and the Pre-Mortem either surfaces a real flaw or it doesn't. We're not asking founders to self-report. We're reporting what happened.

The first two reports are live now — Q2 and Q3 2026 — and you can read the full breakdowns at /trends.

What's in a report

Each quarterly benchmark covers:

  • Sector breakdown of every idea submitted that quarter
  • Conversion from idea → published landing page → real signup
  • The most common validation failures we see (monetization, distribution, customer clarity)
  • Territory-specific data where we have enough volume to say something real

Where to find it

  • /trends — the full report archive, one page per quarter
  • /blog — reports and articles together, including this one

If you validate an idea on Ekko, you're part of the next report. There's no opt-in required and nothing identifying — it's aggregate data across the cohort.

Every idea that goes through the platform makes the next benchmark more accurate.
